From Amazon:
Sookie Stackhouse is just a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. Until the vampire of her dreams walks into her life-and one of her coworkers checks out....
Maybe having a vampire for a boyfriend isn't such a bright idea.
A fun, fast, funny, and wonderfully intriguing blend of vampire and mystery that's hard to put down, and should not be missed. (Susan Sizemore)

My Review:
Sookie Stackhouse is just an average waitress with a "disability" as she calls it. Not to mention an intense liking to vampires. She meets her match one day in the bar and the adventure begins. Harris is able to weave a tale of romance, adventure, and fear all together for an enjoyable read that makes you want to read the next book in the series as soon as possible.
